It's so refreshing to hear Walter's historical roundup about how our Casques Bleus started with Pearson and went on with some successes that we have alas forgotten. Among my Pugwash colleagues, Walter was my closest comrade, coming to Montreal several times to witness operations of peace by les Artistes pour la Paix which he understood so well because of his command of our language. He invited me twice to sleep at the Toronto college to hear and participate in reunions, one of which where i was happy to advance a proposition to accept hibakusha Setsuko Thurlow as a honorary member of Pugwash Canada, but that was before Pugwash Canada refused to see NATO as a war machine and not a defense alliance. Thank you so much, Metta, for this presentation which I'll have the desire to watch again. I'd be ready to pride a translation, once I have more time (if ever).
I meant provide a translation. Walter being a Canadian officer is not able to declare himself against NATO, like Tamara Lorincz, Ray Acheson, Voices of Women, the Canada-Wide Peace and Justice Network of sixty groups, and Les Artistes pour la Paix, of course.
